Skyworth Digital, SERAPHIC deliver HbbTV STBs in Croatia

Skyworth Digital has embarked on the mass production of HbbTV STBs, enabled by SERAPHIC’s browser solution, in Croatia.

Commenting on the development, Celine Guo, sales director at Skyworth Digital, said: “We are very satisfied with SERAPHIC’s proactive and professional support, which ensures us not only with a good performance product but also a widely applauded positive market feedback. We are looking forward to expanding our co-operation with SERAPHIC in more countries like Italy, UK, Germany to enlarge Skyworth’s presence in Europe with the help of advanced and innovative technology of HBBTV.”

Ye Wang, CEO of SERAPHIC, added: “We are excited to cooperate with Skyworth Digital for the HbbTV project. As an active member of HbbTV Association, SERAPHIC is dedicated to providing strong support and a market-proven HbbTV browser solution for the industry.”

Skyworth Digital is an advanced smart home solution provider and had STB market revenues in Q3 last year 39.68% higher than in the corresponding period in 2016.

Meanwhile, Shanghai-based SERAPHIC provides internet-related software and web-based solutions to all TV/video-related terminal devices including smart TVs, STBs, OTT devices and game consoles. Its products include TV Browser for HTML5, HbbTV, Freeview Play, YouTube TV, TV Portal and Open Browser, as well as Web UI solution.
