Elisa’s Estonian operation had one of the most successful quarters in its history in Q3, according to Sami Seppyanen, the company’s chairman of the board.
The quarter saw Elisa Eesti bring the first joint services to market, following on from the final merger of Starman and Santa Monika Networks in the spring.
The first new joint services, including Binge TV and the new Starman TV, resulted in the company gaining an additional 10,500 mobile and 20,300 wireless TV subscribers.
Seppyanen said that there is currently a process of active integration of telco and entertainment services taking place in the company, with smart devices and video viewing becoming very closely interrelated.
As of the end of Q3 the company had 76,500 wireless TV subscribers. Meanwhile, its DigiTV Elisa subscriber total stood at 122,600, while the number of fixed internet connections was 92,700.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, Elisa acquired a 100% stake in Starman, Estonia’s leading cable operator, for €151 million in December last year.
