Silverline Movie Channel joins Amazon Channels

October 9, 2017 00.01 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

German pay-TV channel Silverline Movie Channel has launched on OTT platform Amazon Channels in Germany and Austria.

Next to the linear live-stream, the channel targeting the fans of horror, action and Asian films offers comprehensive on-demand content. Silverline Movie Channel can currently be tested free of charge for 14 days on Amazon Channels after which it can be subscribed to as a stand-alone service for €1.99 per month.

“The expansion of the reach in German-speaking Europe continues, and with Amazon we’ve managed to win a very strong and strategically important partner,” said Ralph Piller, owner and CEO of operating company Silverline Television AG, adding that the high number of first-run movies – currently four German TV debuts per week – and the good reviews of the films in TV listings magazines were an important factor in securing the partnership with Amazon.

Besides Amazon Channels, Silverline Movie Channel can also be received in HD quality on Deutsche Telekom’s IPTV platform Entertain TV and on Magine TV. Furthermore, the channel is available in Germany on the cable networks of Vodafone (formerly Kabel Deutschland), Unitymedia, Tele Columbus and Primacom as well as on the M7 platform.

In Switzerland, Silverline Movie Channel can be received on the cable networks of the members of cable operator association Suissedigital.
