German pay-TV channel Silverline Movie Channel has launched in HD quality on Deutsche Telekom’s IPTV platform Entertain TV.
The channel for the fans of horror, action and Asian movies forms part of subscription packages Film and Big TV. Only on Entertain TV, Silverline Movie Channel is available nationwide with an instant restart function.
Munich-based media entrepreneur Ralph Piller – the owner and chairman of Silverline Television AG since 2015 – wants to further expand the channel’s reach in German-speaking Europe this year. The collaboration with Telekom’s Entertain platform was an important part of this, said Piller. He added that the high number of first-run movies and the good reviews in TV magazines were a key factor in establishing the partnership with Telekom.
Silverline Movie Channel has previously only been available in HD quality on internet TV platform Magine TV. The channel is also distributed in Germany on the cable networks of Vodafone (formerly Kabel Deutschland), Unitymedia, Tele Columbus and Primacom as well on the M7 platform. In Switzerland, Silverline TV can be received on the networks of the members of cable operator association Suissedigital.
