Allen Klosowski to head OTT consulting group SpotX

July 11, 2017 05.40 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Allen Klosowski is moving into a new role at SpotX heading up a newly formed global consulting team.

The new team is to provide technical and operational assistance to broadcasters seeking to innovate with their advertising strategies, especially in OTT environments.

Video ad serving platform SpotX has announced the formation of the Advanced Solutions Group, a global consulting arm focused on guiding advertisers’ and media owners’ video advertising strategies, particularly in emerging spaces like OTT.

The Advanced Solutions Group will assist enterprise-level advertisers and media owners in planning modern architecture for their video advertising strategies. This includes designing end-to-end solutions for data activation, technical set-ups and product development in a way that enables buyers and sellers to transact around context and audience in a real-time, protected framework.

The group will be led by Allen Klosowski, who joined SpotX in 2013 to head mobile and connected TV initiatives.

“Audiences are fragmenting across many different streaming platforms for live and linear content, not just on-demand video, in increasing numbers,” said Klosowski, who assumes the title of VP, Advanced Solutions Group.

“Our broadcast and enterprise customers face significant technical and operational challenges in transitioning to cross-screen monetisation. SpotX’s advanced ad serving tools enable dynamic ad insertion, podding and Audience Lock data protection to help media owners maximise revenue from their content across all screens.”

SpotX recently announced partnerships with major OTT players, including Sling TV and Samba TV, and works with most advertising supported OTT service providers in the US.
