SpotX staffs up in the Nordics

January 25, 2017 10.12 Europe/London By Robert Briel

SpotX, the video inventory management platform, is expanding its operations in Stockholm with two new hires, Daniel Wohlfart and Sabine Janetzki.

Wohlfart joins as Director of Operations and Account Management, bringing six years of advertising technology experience including four years at Ooyala (formerly VideoPlaza). Janetzki joins from Spotify where she worked as a sales planner. She brings seven and a half years of advertising experience including four years at Microsoft and a stint at Ericsson. She will join SpotX as Demand Facilitation Manager.

Commenting on the appointments, Stephen Byrne, Senior Business Development Director, Nordics at SpotX explains, “As we grow our business across the Nordics we are hiring more talented individuals to service our clients. Daniel has worked with many of the publishers in the region before and his direct experience will be invaluable for our customers to help them increase their advertising revenue through programmatic advertising. Sabine’s understanding of client needs and operational experience will help advertisers, media agencies and trading desks deliver effective campaigns, resulting in increased investment. I’m excited to have them both on board to serve our clients.”

The team will be responsible for working with a growing base of media owners in the Nordics, supporting them with a holistic approach to ad serving, yield management and a range of programmatic revenue optimisation tools. This will include helping them create private marketplaces and Curated Marketplaces to maximise their advertising revenue from video inventory on desktop and across all screens, including mobile, and connected TV such as that delivered by streaming services like Apple TV and Googlecast, via games consoles, Smart TVs and other connected devices.

Daniel Wohlfart, Director of Operations and Account Management at SpotX, adds, “I have seen the benefits of programmatic advertising first hand in my former roles. I’m thrilled to join the leading player in a fast-growing industry and combine the company’s global expertise with my local knowledge to deliver the best programmatic advertising strategies for the key media owners in the Nordics.”

Sabine Janetzki, Demand Facilitation Manager, Nordics at SpotX continues, “Video is a growing business in the Nordics and I’m excited to be a part of this with SpotX. I look forward to helping the broadcasters, publishers and app developers SpotX works with in this region benefit from my buy-side experience at Spotify and Microsoft. We can help present their inventory more effectively and efficiently to buyers and optimise their campaigns.”
