N24 Doku to launch in September

N24 Doku (WeltN24 GmbH)German news channel N24 will launch its spin-off channel N24 Doku on September 17, 2016.

Bavarian media authority BLM issued the ad-supported free-to-air channel with a broadcast licence valid until September 18, 2024 at its latest assembly in Munich.

N24 Doku will show documentaries and reportages in the morning and broadcast parent channel N24’s programmes time-shifted by one hour from 14.00 CET.

The channel will compete with free-to-air documentary channel kabel eins Doku which German media company ProSiebenSat.1 will launch on September 22, 2016.
