German commercial news broadcaster N24 will launch a documentary channel in autumn 2016.
N24 Doku will show documentaries and reportages in the morning and broadcast N24’s programmes time-shifted by one hour from 14.00 CET.
The ad-supported free-to-air channel will compete with free-to-air documentary channel kabel eins Doku which ProSiebenSat.1 wants to launch in the second half of this year.
