Eurochannel has secured distribution on Elion’s IPTV platform in Estonia.
The service, with Estonian subtitles, will officially be launched next Monday (September 14) and carried in Elion’s new extended basic package and also offered a la carte.
Commenting on the launch, Gustavo Vainstein, CEO of Eurochannel, said: “Eurochannel makes a welcome entrance to Estonia thanks to Elion’s dedication to showcase premium entertainment through their quality IPTV service. We are thrilled to propose our vision of a Europe without frontiers into one of the most dynamic European countries. All our programming will be localised in Estonian, a language spoken by over a million people worldwide. This long-term cooperation forms part of our main vision for Europe, to offer a localised version in each new territory”.
Toomas Luhats, content acquisitions director of Elion, added: “In Elion we value quality over quantity, Eurochannel is not only trademark on quality films, it also shows commitment, as few channels tend to localise their content to small European language. Quality and localization were the key factors in this particular case that made it easy for us to choose Eurochannel into our offering.”
