Commercial broadcaster RTL will continue to show the Formula 1 races on free-to-air TV in Germany while Sky Deutschland will continue to screen the races on its pay-TV platform.
Both broadcasters signed new TV contracts with Formula One World Championship Limited starting in 2016 and ending after the 2017 season. Financial details were not disclosed.
Sky Deutschland will continue to screen the races without commercial breaks and offer its subscribers the possibility to watch the events through several freely selectable camera angles.
