Account sharing on premium services such as Netflix and Spotify is popular among UK consumers, according to a survey carried out by Broadband Genie.
The company ran a poll to find out how many people share access to streaming services and 1,664 people responded. About half the people said they share their Netflix subscription, followed by Spotify and Amazon Prime, each with 13%. Sky’s Now TV service follows with 10%.
In total, one in four (25%) of respondents said they shared some of their subscriptions.
Interestingly, only 18% said they were afraid of being banned for sharing their subscription and only 4% had ever taken part in an online community.
