Portuguese operator NOS has joined Vodafone in the launch of an Ultra HD service.
NOS, which brought together, PT Multimédia, ZON Multimédia and ZON Optimus, is screening the Hispasat 4K channel and its own NOS Ultra HD 4K.
Hispasat 4K features wildlife, nature and history, while the NOS channel offers music, drama and mini documentaries.
The operator says customers not only need a 4K television, but the ability to decoder 4K/HEVC through the RF cable signal and not just the HDMI port.
Vodafone Portugal has made the FunBox 4K UHD channel available to its fibre customers.
