Netflix is on track to reach 69.9 million subscribers by the end of this year, up 28% on the end-2014 total.
Of these, according to Digital TV Research’s Global OTT TV and Video Forecasts report, 26.36 million will be international, a 57% increase on a year earlier.
Outside the US, the biggest take-up of the service at the end of 2015 will be in the UK, with 4.942 million customers, followed by Canada (3.950 million) and Brazil (3.338 million).
In Europe, after the UK, the highest take-up will be in the Netherland (1.6 million), closely followed by Sweden (1.463 million), Germany (1.208 million) and France (1.150 million).
Netflix will be available in some 200 markets globally by the end of 2016.
