The BBC has upgraded the version of the iPlayer used by the old BT Vision set-top box.
Peter Lasko, senior product manager, BBC iPlayer says this is a significant milestone because it’s the last major platform to move from the old server stack used to power the popular catch-up service.
The new version offers the iPlayer exclusive, Radio 1 video channel and collections.
Over the last year the BBC has moved from eight versions of the iPlayer to one.
Live channel playback, which is now a feature of the TV version, will shortly be introduced to Microsoft Xbox One and Sony Playstation 4.
