Deutsche Telekom’s Business Development and Innovation unit (BDI) and US premium content service provider Vubiquity have formed a partnership to enable an end-to-end solution for platform operators and service providers looking to launch multiscreen video services.
Vubiquity will provide all content-related services for the German telco’s video-on-demand (VOD) platform VideoRise. The modular-based, white label solution combines the components needed to manage and deliver multi-platform over-the-top (OTT) video services.
Providers can choose which elements of the platform to use and the technology can be integrated into existing systems. The service will allow consumers to access movies, TV series and library content on their TV sets and mobile devices.
“There is a growing demand for multiscreen video solutions that can be tailored for individual service providers,” said Adam Poulter, Vubiquity’s executive vice president and managing director for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. “This partnership means that, together, Deutsche Telekom BDI and Vubiquity can offer a complete service to operators and service providers, including content and all required technology.”
