Dutch telco KPN is adding the premium HBO channels to its Begin Gemist (Restart TV) service.
The operator is now offering the service to 38 channels on its IPTV service. Customers who subscribe to HBO can now restart any of the programmes they are watching.
With Restart TV viewers can start selected programmes from the beginning. Most broadcasters, including the Dutch public broadcaster NPO, selected channels from BBC, Discovery Networks and Viacom, are offered free of charge. SBS and RTL as a fee of €0.99 to €2.99 per programme.
KPN launched the service in October 2013 and claims it is a big success with its subscribers with about two million requests per month.
