The take-up of cable and IPTV services continues to grow steadily in Hungary.
According to data produced by the regulator NMHH, based on the eight major market players, there were a total of 2,066,184 subscriptions at the end of November, of which 1,129,650 (54.7%) were digital.
At the same time, based on three major market players, there were 897,242 DTH subscriptions, while the pay-DTT subscriber total stood at 114,954.
Just a month earlier, there were 2,055,792 cable and IPTV subscriptions, of which 1,113,359 were digital.
The DTH total was, at 897,853, virtually the same as in November, whereas the pay-DTT total was 119,816.
As of the end of November, UPC remained the leading overall provider of pay-TV services in Hungary, with a market share of 26.9%.
It was closely followed by Telekom and Digi, claiming 25% and 23.3% respectively.
