Telekom Austria saw steady growth in its TV business in all the territories it is present in during the third quarter.
In its home market, A1 TV ended September with 243,900 subscribers, up from 241,600 three months earlier and 229,800 in the same period in 2013.
In Central and Eastern Europe, its Bulgarian operation had 80,700 TV subscribers at the end of September, up from 78,800 three months earlier and 75,100 in the same period in 2013.
The corresponding figures in Croatia were 163,400, 162,900 and 155,100.
The Telekom Austria group had revenues of €1,048.7 million in Q3 (+1.2% y-o-y) and €2,987.7 million in the first nine months of the year (-4.5%).
EBITDA was €414.6 million in Q3 (+15.8%) and €1,034 million (+0.9%) in the first nine months of the year.
Net income in Q3 was €127.8 million (+149.2%) and -€190 million (n.m) for the year-to-date.
The company notes that its revenue decline improved to -4.5% in the first nine months of the year thanks to better trends in Austria in Q3, as well as strong growth in Belarus and the additional market segment.
Commenting specifically on CEE, it says that subsidy-driven equipment revenues support revenue trends in the region and that, excluding Belarus, macro and regulatory factors and fierce competition drive other CEE markets.
