The leading Czech commercial broadcasters Nova and Prima plan to start charging cable, DTH and IPTV operators for distributing their channels.
According to Digizone, their decision is based on the fact that must-carry for their services effectively ended with digital switchover, which was officially completed on November 11, 2012 but subsequently put back to June 30, 2012, when analogue signals were switched off in the last two remaining parts of the country.
The only services that still have must carry status in the Czech Republic are public radio and TV stations.
