Viewster signs eOne VOD deal

March 20, 2014 11.49 Europe/London By Robert Briel

viewster_on_samsungVOD service Viewster has signed a content partnership with independent studio and international distributor Entertainment One (eOne).

The deal brings 130 hours of television programming to the portal including series such as crime drama The Bridge, romantic comedy Show Me Yours, action-packed thriller Conspiracy 365 and Almost Heroes.

Peter Emerson, president at Entertainment One Television International said: “We’re delighted to partner with Viewster to bring our television from across all genres to their 28 million European viewers. As we continue in our commitment to innovate and find new avenues for our content, Viewster is the perfect strategic partner to extend our reach to new audiences in key territories.’’

Kai Henninges, CEO at Viewster said: “Adding eOne’s crime and comedy series enriches our portfolio with what our viewers love: fun and suspense in episodes. They like to watch on their computers, their connected TVs, on the go or even at a boring party. And the best thing for them is that Viewster is completely free.”

eOne develops, produces, acquires and distributes programming across all genres. Through strong relationships with broadcasters and content providers, eOne Television International exports programming across the globe and has successfully sold eOne’s original and third-party content to over 500 broadcasters in 150 countries, including key US networks and international pay TV channels.
