Channel 4 is to host 31 simultaneous live streams as part of an innovative new partnership with Red Bull.
Red Bull Revolutions in Sound will broadcast on Thursday night at 19.30 and represents the highest number of live streams a broadcaster has ever hosted.
The Austrian company is running a takeover of the London Eye for a celebration of UK Club Culture.
Each live stream on Channel4.com will broadcast from one of 30 capsule gigs unleashing access to clubland’s most legendary club nights including Fabric and The Hacienda as they play host to over 100 DJs and artists including Lily Allen, Katy B, Skream, Rudimental (DJ set), Ritchie Hawtin, Goldie and Gilles Peterson.
Danny Peace, Agency Principal at Channel 4 said: “We’re very excited to be hosting this much-anticipated Red Bull event on Channel4.com giving viewers unprecedented access to the sell out night online, as it happens, through our live streams.”
Channel 4 will record an exclusive ad featuring DJ Annie Mac filmed on location at London’s Southbank just before the night’s action kicks off and will broadcast the ad simultaneously across Channel 4’s portfolio of channels in a ‘roadblock’ premiere ad break at 19.59.
