A+E Networks UK has appointed Heather Jones as VP of programming.
She will take up the post later this month and be responsible A+E Networks UK’s programming strategy across the company’s channels in the UK, Central Europe, Benelux, Scandinavia, the Middle East, Greece and Africa.
Jones was previously MD of independent production company North One Television, part of the All3Media group.
She has also held roles as director of television at Viacom UK, where she was responsible for content and creativity across the MTV and Comedy Central portfolios and as MD at Paramount Comedy, where she led the channel’s award-winning rebrand in 2006.
Commenting on the appointment, Tom Davidson, MD of A+E Networks UK, said: “Heather Jones will bring a wealth of expertise and experience to our team. Her proven track record of driving audience growth and channel expansion across a variety of international networks and content genres makes her the perfect candidate for the role.
