Viewster has appointed Jeremy Playle as UK Sales Director as it seeks to further develop its online video advertising business in the UK.
With two decades of experience at ITV, EMAP and DCM, Jeremy will lead Viewster’s brand partnerships and advertising sales business in the UK, and will be tasked with bringing new media brands to the platform as well as developing the company’s existing partnerships with media and advertising agencies.
“Advertisers today are looking for premium environments online where they can reach large groups of targeted audiences. With 100% professional content and 100% mind share, and a large global audience, this is Viewster’s sweet spot,” said Kai Henniges, CEO of Viewster.
“With global spend on online video advertising set to hit $14.7 billion by 2017, as more advertisers move budgets away from TV, developing our advertising sales business is a key part of our global business growth strategy. I am therefore thrilled to have Jeremy Playle on board. His great experience will be invaluable, as we expand our offering in the UK and elsewhere.”
With demand for Viewster’s ad-supported service growing by 700% last year, Viewster recently opened new offices in New York, London, Singapore and Adelaide to support international business development and advertising sales. Already available in 120 countries worldwide, Viewster is seeking further growth in new and existing markets worldwide.
