A+E Networks appoints Casey

Caroline CaseyA+E Networks UK, a joint venture between A+E Networks and BSkyB, has appointed Caroline Casey in the newly created role of director of digital media.

Casey is responsible for the management of all digital assets and associated brands of A+E Networks UK across the UK, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Sub Saharan Africa. She will create and develop a 360 integrated digital media strategy across online, mobile, connected TV and social media for the company’s four channel brands History, H2, Crime & Investigation Network and Bio. Casey will also oversee content and product development across 34 websites and various social media networks as well as all digital marketing and advertising.

She will report to Anna Priest, VP of Marcomms, A+E Networks UK. Her appointment is effective immediately.

Prior to joining A+E Networks UK, Casey was founder and CEO of strategic consultancy company CC Digital Ltd, where she advised companies on digital strategy and trends. Previously she worked at Turner Broadcasting joint venture TurnOut Ventures as executive director, developing new and emerging online businesses and at Turner Broadcasting as EMEA Director of Digital Development across all Turner entertainment brand websites and digital products.

Commenting on the appointment, Anna Priest, VP of Marcomms at A+E Networks UK, said: “I’m extremely pleased that Caroline Casey is joining the company in this new role. With the vast experience Caroline brings, I’m confident we can inspire audiences to engage with our content across multiple devices and drive significant growth in ratings and brand equity.”
