Media consultancy Decipher has appointed Damien Read as its director of consultancy.
Read, previously general manager of products and propositions for BT Vision, joins the team as part of expansion in Decipher’s product and service offering in 2013.
“Damien brings intellectual firepower and implementation experience to Decipher,” commented Decipher MD Nigel Walley. “As the market evolves rapidly, our clients are looking to ramp up the level of R&D and innovation testing they do. As a result, we intend to increase the amount of implementation support we are able to offer. His skill set means we are in a position to deepen our relationship with key clients and bring new ones on board. ”
Read has launched products on UK and European cable and IPTV. At BT Vision he has been responsible for the launch of new propositions which have significantly transformed the growth of BT Vision as well as launching/developing three new digital TV platforms; Vision 2.0; BT’s YouView and pay channels via IPTV multicast.
Read’s previous role was running the TV marketing and product development teams for cable operator UPC in Amsterdam.
