Magyar Telekom has announced that the number of subscribers to T-Home’s Interactive TV service now exceeds 300,000.
At the same time, the number of interactive features it offers has also increased.
Quoting Christopher Mattheisen, its chairman-CEO, the telco says that this proves that 2012 has indeed been the year of interactive TV in Hungary, as it had forecast.
It adds that an increasing number of apps that have already become popular on IPTV are now also available through its interactive SAT TV service.
Furthermore, its IPTV service can be controlled through an app downloadable to a smartphone.
Its Videotéka service, offering movies at almost the same time as DVD releases, now registers 100,000 rentals a month.
Magyar Telekom launched its IPTV service in 2006 and Interactive Sat TV service enhanced with new interactive features, in December 2011.
