Digital television now reaches 6.2 million homes in the Netherlands, representing 80% of all homes.
According to the latest Q3 figures by telecoms regulator OPTA, cable remains the dominant way of receiving television with 5.1 million homes connected.
However, 1.5 million cable homes are still analogue only.
Cable is the only analogue distribution medium in the country. Although the number of cabled homes is declining, the average nationwide penetration is still around 66%.
The number of IPTV homes, both via ADSL and FttH, climbed to 2.62 million.
