The leading Spanish cable operator Ono has extended its TiVO product to Barcelona, working in conjunction with Fábrica Moritz, based in the city.
It now plans to extend it to the rest of Catalonia in the first few months of this year.
Fábrica Moritz is the first major space in Barcelona that offers free internet access at up to 100 Mbps.
Separately, Ono has successfully completed a bond issue for $1 billion (€760.1 million), the proceeds of which will be used to repay bank debt maturing this year and in 2013 in advance.
