Al Jazeera Balkans will make its debut today (November 11), distributed free to air by Eutelsat W3 at 16 degrees East to viewers connected to cable networks or equipped for DTH reception in Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Kosovo and Montenegro.
The 23rd in the Al Jazeera network and operating from studios in Sarajevo, its focus will be on news, with one-hour or shorter programmes, as well as documentaries and political and economic shows.
Eutelsat’s W3 satellite was launched in October and has been in full commercial service since November 9, broadcasting into 11 million homes in the Central Europe region.
