Russia’s CTC Media has created a new united content production company named Story First Production.
Under it, the Costfilm and Soho Media platforms will be merged into a single subsidiary.
Vasily Balashov has been appointed general director of the newly established company and has also joined CTC Media’s executive management committee as chief production officer.
Konstantin Kikichev, head of Costafilm, will meanwhile be general producer of Story First Production and Irina Kalinina, head of Soho Media, its director of TV programs production.
CTC Media lists MTG as its largest shareholder and operates the TV channels CTC, Domashny and DTV in Russia, as well as Channel 31 in Kazakhstan and a TV company in Moldova.
