LandscapeHD teams with Smartclip

May 26, 2011 07.07 Europe/London By Robert Briel

LandscapeHD, the 1080p cloud delivered music television channel, has signed an exclusive pan-European partnership agreement with Smartclip, a video ad network. Smartclip will be solely responsible for the roll out of advertising across LandscapeHD’s broadcasts.

Smartclip specialises in in-stream ad formats and operates in the new digital advertising distribution frontier across all internet connected devices, from smartphones, tablets PCs and gaming consoles, to the latest generation of connected TVs.

Nick Austin, chairman of LandscapeHD said in a statement: “Delivering 1080p programming would have been impossible a year ago. This autumn we shall see LandscapeHD roll out into the digital universe via our cloud distribution in all major world markets. In Europe, smartclip is the only sales and digital advertising power, we have seen who is up to the challenges that this new business brings. Our primary business in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and most of the other European markets will now have advertising sales representation and the ability to source top quality brand advertisers suitable for airing on the highest quality television network in the world.”

“This collaboration is an ideal partnership for both parties, as LandscapeHD and smartclip both have the same European approach and are active in the same markets. smartclip is now the only video ad network on the continent which provides media agencies and brand advertisers the opportunity to roll out truly pan-European campaigns,” explains Jean-Paul Wevers, publisher director, Smartclip UK. He adds: “We are currently experiencing a huge change in the TV industry and LandscapeHD with its innovative technology and approach is a leader for new broadcasting concepts. We are now in the position to offer even more diverse and premium advertising possibilities to media agencies and brands across Europe.”

Via its intelligent ad serving technology and technological solutions, smartclip can deliver location-specific ads on the LandscapeHD channel and therefore reach very targeted audiences interestedin classical and instrumental music, for advertisers across Europe.
