During the second quarter of the year, the total number of Dutch digital television homes surpassed 5 million, according to research from Telecompaper. The new figures mean that 63% of all TV homes are now receiving digital signals.
The country’s largest cable operator, Ziggo, has the biggest market share, with just over 33%. The runner-up is KPN TV, its two platforms combined, the DTT service Digitenne and the IPTV service Interactieve TV, claiming a market share of 21.5%.
Cabler UPC and DTH provider Canal Digitaal Satelliet each have a market share of 16.4%.
