IBC 2010 – Hall 1, Stand B79. Media Broadcast will demonstrate the technologies needed by today’s broadcasters. The TDF-subsidiary is ready for the transmission of standard and high definition channels over DVB-T2 while the introduction of HbbTV – as popularized in the German and French markets – will create the technical basis for the launch of hybrid, interactive services over the terrestrial system.
Media Broadcast will show its highly scalable Broadcast Next Generation Network (NGN) client terminals that allow customers to set-up their own defined circuits for point-to-point connections.
Another theme will be Event Broadcasting Services for production and transmission of national and international live events. During the recent FIFA World Cup in South Africa, Media Broadcast provided a live HDTV contribution to the Johannesburg-based International Broadcast Center via its IP-based broadcasting platform.
