Italy’s Mediaset has signed a distribution deal for its Mediaset International TV channel with the Slovenian alternative telco T-2.
The three-year deal will give T-2 exclusive distribution rights for Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Croatia.
Significantly, it is the first such global distribution deal signed by Mediaset for the new service, which will launch in March.
Mediaset International is a new linear channel offering a selection of its most popular programmes, shortly after being aired on Mediaset’s mainstream local TV channels in Italy (Canale 5, Italia 1 and Rete 4).
Its target audience includes an estimated 60 million Italians worldwide and people interested in Italy, its people and culture.
Mediaset International will be available via satellite in Europe, North and South America, as well as in Australia.
