PIKE, ZAKOPANE. Up to one in four of the Polish MSO Aster’s digital TV subscribers now choose to receive HD channels.
The figure was provided by Janusz Arciszewski, Aster’s president, who added that analogue TV services now account for less than 50% of its total revenues.
He also said that Aster has no plans to follow in the footsteps of the national commercial station TVN and launch a local TV channel in Warsaw.
Aster is a quadruple play company and Poland’s fourth largest MSO, with a presence in Warsaw, Kraków and Zielona Góra.
