IBC 2008 – AMSTERDAM. OpenTV has said it has agreed to incorporate Adobe’s Flash Lite into its middleware as an additional application environment. The layer will be on top of OpenTV’s standard and html offerings.
OpenTV is also joining the Open Screen Project and intends to work with other members of the project to develop the initiative’s TV Profile.
Formed in May 2008, the Open Screen Project is based around Adobe’s Flash and AIR software. It aims to provide deliver a consistent runtime environment across desktops, televisions and mobile devices.
