The Polish commercial broadcaster TVN accounted for 36% of the country’s net TV ad spend in Q2 2008, up from 32.4% a year earlier.
Its net revenues rose 35% year-on-year to PLN550 million, while EBITDA rose by 43% and net profit by 50% to PLN3247 million and PLN208 million respectively.
According to TVN, the subscriber base for its most popular thematic channel TVN24 stood at 6 million as if June 30, 2008, with three others – TVN Style, TVN Turbo and TVN Meteo – each watched in 5.9 million homes.
