The Polish regional, satellite-delivered channel Telewizja Silesia (TVS) has significantly increased its reach.
According to a local report, the service has signed an agreement with the Polish Television Center in the US, adding to the one it already has with Roger Cable Communications in Canada. Its programming in North America will be available in HD.
Significantly, the channel, which made its debut this March, is also upping its cable distribution in Poland – it is already carried by the three DTH platforms.
UPC and Vectra are expected to start carrying the channel in HD later this year.
