Russia’s CTC Media has posted revenues of $172,770,000 (€109,882,911) for Q2, or 54.1% more than in the corresponding period last year.
Its half-year revenues amounted to $309,516,000, an increase of 43.1% on the H1 2007 total.
CTC Media also noted significant growth in its net income, with Q2 ($48,816,000) and H1 ($90,529,000) figures being 59.1% and 53.9% up respectively on 2007.
OIBDA was meanwhile up year-on-year by 42.8% in Q2 and 34.4% in H1, to $73,440,000 and $128,676,000 respectively.
CTC Media is backed by Sweden’s TG and one of the leading commercial broadcasters in Russia. Its main operation CTC had an average audience share of 11.6% among viewers aged 6-54 in Q2, while Domashny, a thematic channel targeting female viewers, claimed 2.7% in its 25-60 target demographic.
