The Czech Republic has taken another important step on the road to digitalisation.
Local reports indicate the public broadcaster CT has switched off analogue transmissions of its second channel CT2 in the city of Plzen.
At the same time, it has launched, in conjunction with the national transmission company Ceske Radiokomunikace (CRa), a temporary multiplex covering the West Bohemia region.
This will apparently become a permanent multiplex if, as expected, CT and CRa sign an agreement next month.
