Lithuanian telecommunications provider TEO has given the first indications of the popularity of its pay DTT service Digital GALA.
Launched in March, Digital GALA has now reached 6,600 subscribers. The TeliaSonera-owned company also has 28,000 subscribers to its IPTV platform Interactive GALA TV.
Revenues from internet and data services grew by 29.8%, compensating in a fall in revenues in fixed line telephony. In a statement Arunas Šikšta, General Manager, TEO LT, AB said the company was on target to meet its goals for its IPTV and DTT services by the end of the year.
Digital GALA is already available to between 75-80% of the population, though it is expected that by the end of the year digital transmitters will cover at least 95% of the country.
