French IPTV network Free is adding HD content to its S-VOD (subscription video on demand) package Free Home Video.
HD titles include Troy, Pirate of the Caribbean, Air Force One, Con Air, Armageddon, Die Hard, Father of the Bride, Enemy of the State and Starship Troopers. Music content comes from Mika, Mariah Carey, Toto, Amy Winehouse and Kanye West. Series are also included through Ugly Betty, Lost, Desperate Housewives, Ghost Whisperer and Criminal Minds. Free is holding the price for the S-VOD package at €5.99, indicating how much HD has become a battleground for the French consumer. Earlier this week cablenet Numericable announced its own HD VOD package.
Free has also confirmed the carriage of the new France 2 HD, which will sit alongside the existing line-up of M6 HD, National Geographic HD, NRJ12 HD, i-Concerts HD.
