BT Vision is to launch its first interactive advertisement to tie in with Prince Caspian, the latest movie in the Chronicles of Narnia series.
The advertising campaign has been created by emuse and Carat and offers viewers a chance to win a holiday to New Zealand where parts of the movie have been shot. Prince Caspian will receive its UK premiere on June 26.
Emuse had created a bespoke advertising campaign for the Sky platform, but the properties available to the BT IPTV platform allows access to true video on demand, so that the extended trailer begins at the start whenever it is accessed, and provides producer Disney with the ability to measure the number of times it is viewed.
“The emergence of BT Vision as a channel capable of carrying interactive commercials is a welcome addition to the TV marketplace,” said David Jansen, Manager at Carat, Disney’s advertising agency. He pointed to the faster access times on the BT’s Microsoft Mediaroom enabled platform in comparison with other Red Button activity.
