Amos-3 has been successfully launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome site in Kazakhstan.
It will be co-located at 4 degrees West with Amos-1 and Amos-2, allowing for better coverage of Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East, as well as providing a bridge between the Middle East and Eastern US.
The Amos group of satellites is operated by Spacecom, which is based in Israel.
