In the past year, the number of DTT receivers sold or rented out in France more than doubled to 17.4 million, according to research from GfK. Since March 2005, 13,006,000 receivers have been sold in stores. In addition, some 4.4 million set-top-boxes have been rented out by such platforms as Canal+, Orange and Alice.
The total number of sets more than doubled from 8.2 million at the end of March 2007 to 17.4 million in March this year. This represents a total reach of 37% of all French homes.
