CABLE CONGRESS 2008 – MADRID. Belgian interactive developer Zappware has said it has successfully deployed a batch of services for the Swiss cablenet ESR Sion.
The services run on ESR’s network in the city of Sion (Valais) under the NetcomTV brand using HD capable boxes manufactured by Motorola. Included in the package is an interactive portal, EPG, StartOver TV, catch-up TV and a network PVR.
The NetcomTV offer is based on Zappware’s iView for operators, an integrated suite of TV platform independent services, initially deployed on the Motorola 1920C hybrid DVB-C/IP set-top box running the KreaTV middleware.
The technology will be on display this week at the Cable Congress in Madrid.
