Moscow CableCom Corp (MCC) is to be taken over by the Russian private equity group Renova in a deal worth around $152 million (€115.7 million). Renova currently holds a 40.5% stake in MCC, as well as a 75% stake in ComCor TV, which in turn owns 32% of MCC. Operating under the brand name Akado, MCC had 103,609 broadband Internet and 71,923 pay-TV subscribers in the Russian capital as of the end of last month. Renova, which is believed to be preparing from an IPO, lists the alternative telco Corbina Telecom among its other interests. (CD)
