StarNordic has become a part owner of the Norwegian IPTV operation FastTV.net. The alliance means that StarNordic will now be able to target housing and aerial associations used to analogue TV with a digital IPTV offering from FastTV. At the same time FastTV will now be able to provide Internet and telecoms services using the fibre network of Norway’s energy companies.
”We have noted increased demand for alternatives to the TV services of the sector’s established providers. It is therefore very positive that we can make it possible for FastTV to provide its TV package and media portal with interactive services to our customers. In this way, we have become a triple play operator,” said StarNordic chairman Peter Linnerud.
FastTV already has agreements with Salten Bredbånd, Trollfjord Bredbånd, Hålogaland Kraft, Troms Kraft, Kvamnet, Cyberhemsen, Møsasvøo, Dataguard, Ginet and Lorrynett. (JC)
