The Russian TV station TNT has entered into a partnership agreement with YouTube.
Kommersant reports that this represents a reconciliation of sorts, as only a few months ago the two parties were at loggerheads over the posting of two series – Fizruk and Chernobyl – on the video-sharing site without TNT’s consent.
This resulted in the Moscow City Court imposing interim measures on YouTube and the court subsequently uncovered another 137 links to illegal content.
Failure to remove the links could have resulted in the matter being brought to the attention of Roskomnadzor and (ultimately) YouTube being blocked in Russia.
YouTube has since removed all the links in question.
