The Russian DTH operator Orion Express now officially has over one million subscribers.
In a statement, the company says the figure of one million was reached on December 13 with the signing up of a subscriber in the Sverdlovsk region of the country.
Orion Express was the second leading DTH operator and third leading provider of digital TV services in Russia at the end of the third quarter.
It operates the services Continent TV and Telakarta and has doubled its subscriber base for three straight years.
Orion Express expects to increase the number of channels it offers to up to 200 in 2013 when it starts to use the new Horizons 2 satellite.
